Objective:
- To reduce the incidence of and mortality realted to MDR-TB.
Project briefs:
In 2015 up to 2017, PGK will adopt "Patient Centered Community Based MDR-TB Care Model" funded by 3MDG which was previously initiated by FHI 360 (CAP-TB) and it's partners MMA, MHAA & PGK with community volunteers. This model intend to support the treatment success of MDR-TB patients while ensuring infection control and standard package of support with close collaboration of National Tuberculosis Program in 16 township in Yangon. This project will have ready access to key player at the community level including volunteers and volunteer monitors.

Project activities and Place:
- Evening DOT provision through trained volunteers.
(1). Health Education to MDR-TB patients and contacts.
(2). Adherence counselling and psychological supports.
(3). Side-effects monitoring and infection control measures.
(4). Refer presumptive case.
- Monthly Nutrtional Support MDR-TB patients.
- Monthly Transportation Allowance (30,000 MMK) for follow up visit to MDR-TB patients.
