Invitation to Contribute Together with Pyi Gyi Khin for Earthquake-Affected Communities

On March 28, 2025, a powerful earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale struck Myanmar, severely affecting communities in the central regions and parts of Shan State. Pyi Gyi Khin extends deep sympathy to those impacted by this devastating disaster.

Given the scale of destruction, there is an urgent need for financial support and essential supplies to assist in rescue and recovery efforts.

Pyi Gyi Khin, through its centers in Pyinmana, Shwebo, and Mandalay, is actively coordinating with our staffs, volunteers, and local community-based organizations to reach the affected areas and provide emergency assistance. Our response includes immediate relief and the rapid delivery of food, clean water, and essential medicines to those in need.

We have been deploying medical teams from our 29 centers located across Kachin, Karen, Mon, Shan, Sagaing, Tanintharyi, Magway, Mandalay, Yangon, and Nay Pyi Taw to form emergency health response teams that are delivering basic healthcare services in the hardest-hit areas.

Since 2016, Pyi Gyi Khin staff members have been contributing 1% of their monthly salaries into a solidarity fund to support children’s education and respond to emergencies. From this fund, Pyi Gyi Khin will make an initial donation of MMK 5 million towards the earthquake relief efforts.

We warmly invite friends and supporters from across Myanmar and abroad to join us in this effort. No contribution is too small — every donation will help make a difference in the lives of those affected.
