PGK together with other CSO and Myanmar Press Council had the meeting with Commision on Special affairs and legal issues , Union Parliament in Nay Pyi Taw to discuss development of new legislation on Right to Information on 14 February 2017.
During the meeting, CSO and Myanmar Press Council advocated role of CSO and Media in Right to Information Law development process. The commission agreed to meet regularly to discuss about development of Right to Information Law at the commission's office in Union Parliament. CSO participated in this meeting were Local Resource Center, BamaSo , Triangle women support group and National NGO Network (3N ).
PGK also joined the workshop on Freedom of Expression issues: Right to Information and Broadcasting Law workshop as the speaker for Process on development of Right to Information Law Nay Pyi Taw on 14 February 2017. This workshop was organized by UNESCO and Center for Law and Democracy ( CLD ) with representatives from Ministry of Information and Parliamentarian .
